Where Do You Bump Into Emotional Affairs and What are the Signs?

I’ve been busy collating from a survey on emotional affairs (Affair #4: “I Fell out of Love…and just love being in love”) It’s taken a chunk of my time going over the literally hundreds of responses I received. But, that is great!

Where do Emotional Affairs typically begin?

Surprise, surprise. The work place comes out as number one, by a large margin.

I thought there was a fairly large group who connected with that old flame. And, that can be powerful – lot of unfinished adolescent business.

  3. My husbands emotional affair and one time sex began at work. He is a spine surgeon, she a spine representative. It does get better, it’s been almost 2 years for us now and we are doing wonderful. I highly recommend counseling and individual too. We got our counseling at our church with the pastor and his wife, very helpful and saved our marriage. Love Kym

I think the emotional affair is the worst…how can I ever get over this? This person became more important than me and my child. It haunt me to think that he thought of someone else that way he should be thing of me. He wanted to leave me for her! Then contined on maintaining contact with her for years…all along swearing he wasn’t talking to her. How do I know that he is being truthful and honest? He says he has stopped….

The response from Kym was helpful…give me hope…
